Reverend Hardy Powers III has been the Lead Pastor at WOCON for 3 years. He has been serving in the ministry for over 30 years. He believes God has called him to the ministry of preaching, teaching and pastoring and can’t imagine doing anything else. He openly shares his passion, “I love people and want them to know that there is help and hope in Jesus Christ.”
Rev. Powers obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Mid America Nazarene University and was ordained an elder in the Church of the Nazarene after attending two years of seminary.
When he isn’t in the pulpit or visiting the sick and home bound, Pastor Hardy says he enjoys singing and being a handy man. He says, “I have the voice of an angel and can fix anything.” Which shows that God is still working on him since neither of my sources (his wife Joanie and daughter Ashlee) will confirm either ability.
Terri Cobb has attended WOCON since her early teen years and later branched off from here into pastoral ministry and evangelism. While she has been in ministry for 35 years, Terri has officially been on staff at WOCON since 2005 as Celebrate Recovery Pastor, Associate Pastor, then in 2009 she became Executive Pastor. Terri continues as Celebrate Recovery Director as well as her duties overseeing all church concerns that allow the pastor to give his attention to preaching and teaching the Word of God including the supervision of the church staff and the budget and finance duties. Terri also oversees WOCON’s small group L.I.F.E. program.
Terri has a B.S. in Family Studies and Gerontology from Southern Nazarene University and a Master of Education with emphasis in Advanced Behavioral Studies from Oklahoma City University. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her grandkids, reading, playing golf and “hanging” with her family.
David Abrego serves as the Worship Arts Pastor. He joined the WOCON ministry team in August of 2010. He leads and directs worship and oversees the entire music and media departments. David has also been leading worship in various capacities for 15 years and has a “deep rooted passion and desire to worship God.”
David began his university studies at the University of North Texas, majoring in piano performance. He later attained his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology with minors in both music and chemistry from the University of Texas Pan American (Edinburg, TX). Afterwards, he received a doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law and practiced law as an attorney in Texas for about 6 years.
David enjoys singing, composing and playing music but especially loves spending time with his wife, Anna, and their four children. He enjoys all sports and even studied martial arts for a few years. He considers himself an average to poor golfer, but feels it’s due to lack of practice (“someone take me, please!”).
Nick Bollinger joined the WOCON staff in July of 2011 in order to "invest in and love the middle and high school students of this church and the surrounding area, and to help God transform their lives in powerful ways." He has been ministering unofficially most of his life, but officially to youth for the last three years. He is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Ministry. He has his District Ministers License from the Church of the Nazarene, Colorado District.
When he isn't working with teens, Nick enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Lori, rock climbing, camping, watching movies, playing sand volleyball, laughing, having philosophical discussions, having adventures and making memories. The one thing he wants people to know about him is Mark 12:30-31(TNIV): "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

Jason and Melodi have attended WOCON for about 19 years. In June of 2011 they filled in as interim pastors for the college age group, but took over the position of College Age Pastors in August 2011. Melodi shared why they were called to this ministry when she said, "We really have a heart for this age group. Not only are they fun to be with but they also help to keep us feeling young.." Their primary responsibilities are to love, encourage and minister to the college age group. Jason and Melodi are both graduates of Southern Nazarene University.
When they aren't working, they enjoy:
Melodi- Sleeping, reading spending time with my kids or watching movies.
Jason- Shooting guns, reading and spending time with my family.
Jackie Sanchez became Children’s pastor at WOCON July of 2010. She and her husband, Erick have been attended WOCON since they came to Oklahoma City in August 2009 to study ministry at SNU. Immediately upon arriving in August 2009, they jumped into ministry at WOCON helping with the children’s ministry, the youth ministry (as cooks for Fall Retreat), the drama ministry (helping to decorate the stage for the dessert theater production) and the maintenance ministry (cleaning and caring for the church building).
As Children’s Pastor, Jackie cares for the spiritual lives of children by creating a fun and safe place where kids can experience a relationship with Jesus. Jackie likes to use what she calls her 3 M’s: Minister to Children, Make a difference, and let them have a Memorable experience of God’s love.
Jackie met the Lord when she was eight years old and she knows God has placed a special call for children’s ministry on her heart. She has been faithful to that call ministering to children for the past 15 years. She is now pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Children’s Ministry at SNU and her district ministers license. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric, and playing the piano as her worship to the Lord.
Daniel Palmer has been attending WOCON since 1994. He is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist and counsels at WOCON on a will call basis for things like reconciliation, healing of wounds, depression, addictions, etc.
Daniel has been counseling for over 20 years and received his Masters of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma.
When he isn’t counseling, Daniel loves to go on dates with his wife, Celia (he’s happy to admit that he married up) and loves spending time with their two sons. He especially likes going to their games.
